King of Love 02:39
King of Love Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo He’s a-comin’ x3 He’s the King of Love and he’s shining from above And He can see you He’s a God who cares, and His love is everywhere He wants to free you The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? He’s the Prince of Peace And the answer to your needs And he can hear you Knocking at your heart, Don’t you stay apart He’ll never leave you The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo He’s a-comin’ x3 He’s the King of Love and he’s shining from above And He can see you He’s a God who cares, and His love is everywhere He wants to free you The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? The King’s coming back again soon Is He coming for you? Ooo, coming for you? He’s comin’ he’s comin’ Ooo, coming for you? He’s comin’ he’s comin’ (repeat)

God Knows Your Heart D’you see him in L.A. when all the cynics turned their backs? He said His train was a-comin’ and they’re laid across the tracks D’you hear the Russia news? He was a soldier off to war Now he’s singing in prison, Can’t take killing anymore So don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you get caught up in the crowd Try crying out and God’ll hear you Don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you know that time is running out Ah, believe and don’t doubt And God’ll hear you God knows your heart D’you see him in Bombay with a thousand loaves of bread? I know His hand’s never empty when there’s hungry to be fed You’ve met Him everywhere, and you’ve know Him all along Although your heart wasn’t open He’s still here where you belong So don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you get caught up in the crowd Try crying out and God’ll hear you Don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you know that time is running out Ah, believe and don’t doubt And God’ll hear you God knows your heart You’ve met Him everywhere, and you’ve know Him all along Although your heart wasn’t open He’s still here where you belong So don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you get caught up in the crowd Try crying out and God’ll hear you Don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you know that time is running out Ah, believe and don’t doubt And God’ll hear you God knows your heart Don’t get lost in the struggle Don’t you get caught up in the crowd Try crying out and God’ll hear you God knows your heart

Tonight 02:25
Tonight Tonight…..tonight I hope you’ll always remember When all is said and done That when you’ve had your fun You’ll find you’re still the lonely one He’ll take your life and make it better And give you so much more I’ve said it all before If you’d only open up the door Tonight, makes me sad and blue Trying to get through to you What else can I do, but say that I’ll pray for you Said it all for you—tonight You say it’s God you can’t believe in But if you feel that way, tell me why’d you stay When you can change it right away Tonight, makes me sad and blue Trying to get through to you What else can I do, but say that I’ll pray for you Said it all for you—tonight (Guitar Solo) Tonight, makes me sad and blue Trying to get through to you What else can I do, but say that I’ll pray for you Said it all for you—tonight Tonight….tonight

Turn Your Back Well I can see you’re lonely, but you don’t have to cry God can create something that will never die Jesus sees your secrets every single plan Got to put your past behind Need to be a new man (He said) Turn your back on it all - oh, oh, oh Take His hand don’t you fall Turn your back on it all, Oh, oh, oh Now who’d you think you’re fooling Fighting for your pride God can fill that emptiness you hide inside He’s the one solution, He’s the only way What’s so great you’re holding on to anyway (He said) Turn your back on it all - oh, oh, oh Take His hand don’t you fall Turn your back on it all, Oh, oh, oh Now, all part of the written plan, God’s already made His stand for the simple man Give your heart and you’ll understand God’s already raised His hands for the crowning of a simple man Crowning of a Simple, Crowning of a Simple Man (He said) Turn your back on it all - oh, oh, oh Take His hand don’t you fall Turn your back on it all, Oh, oh, oh Now I can see you’re lonely, but you don’t have to cry God can create something that will never die Jesus sees your secrets every single plan Got to put your past behind Need to be a new man (Coz He said) Turn your back on it all - oh, oh, oh Take His hand don’t you fall Turn your back on it all, Oh, oh, oh

Trouble 02:49
Trouble Well is it alright, when you stay out late And your mother waits and your father’s looking for you? And on your first date, when you’re feeling good And you wish she would Coz that somethin’ tells you don’t wait (Don’t wait baby) Well in the nick of time, I hope you change your mind Coz if you don’t you’ll find—Trouble, Trouble The back of midnight, out with all the boys Gonna make some noise, Someone ends up fighting with you And all your friends say that you won’t get far So you steal some car, you let no crime stand in your way But in the nick of time, I hope you change your mind Coz if you don’t you’ll find—Trouble, Trouble Don’t let trouble get the better of you You can rise above it like He told you to Now I can’t tell you what you got to do Trouble, Trouble But in the nick of time, I hope you change your mind Coz if you don’t you’ll find—Trouble, Trouble Well is it alright, when you stay out late And your mother waits and your father’s looking for you? And your first date, when you’re feeling good And you wish she would Coz that somethin’ tells you don’t wait (Don’t wait baby) But in the nick of time, I hope you change your mind Coz if you don’t you’ll find—Trouble, Trouble

Supernatural Man He’s Supernatural Man He’s got the world in His hands And He’s heard every word that’s been spoken since time began He’s so amazing, man. It’s such a simple plan But you can read every book that’s been written Still won’t understand Anyway, you think you can run, run, run Just keep on the run Hide away, can’t hide from the Son, Son, Son Got nowhere to run He’s Supernatural Man We’ve got to take His hand I know we’ve gotta, really need the Son to be smiling again Anyway, you think you can run, run, run Just keep on the run Hide away, can’t hide from the Son, Son, Son Got nowhere to run

Sandy 02:19
Sandy Sandy send me a letter, I understand what you’re going through Send it, the sooner the better It’s been so long since I talked to you You know so much has happened to me since that time, Been on my mind No words can explain the change I feel inside, though I’ve tried Sandy, send me a letter, tell me you know what I said is true Sandy, you know I’ll feel better to know that the same thing has happened to you I’ve been prayin’ so hard For your eyes to see So make your plans for a new start And soon you’ll be free It really doesn’t matter if the sun don’t shine, all the time Rain can keep on fallin’ with Him by your side You’ll be fine I’ve been prayin’ so hard For your eyes to see So make your plans for a new start And soon you’ll be free Sandy…Sandy Sandy…Oh, Sandy Oh, Oh, Oh, Sandy Sandy…Sandy

Ballad of JC That day began so perfectly, how could it be Our peaceful earth could be disturbed so violently The young pretender raised his head “The King is Dead”, by dragon’s breath The crown of darkness reigns instead Though we be weary and slain in our beds You’re gonna need more to win your wars than to have us dead Then innocent blood did stain the swords of the tyrant hordes Amidst the terror, the minstrel legends spread the word That born in safety to bring us peace Out of the east, there’d spring a brave white knight who’d vow to scorch the beast Though we be weary and slain in our beds You’re gonna need more to win your wars than to have us dead In a conquered city after many years, that prince appeared Raised high his shield of love, and cleansed men of their fears So said the scoundrel deviously, “I may set you free— Give me your savior’s life to pay the price, bring him to me.” Though we be weary and slain in our beds You’re gonna need more to win your wars than to have us dead That knight who died for evil done Was our King’s son Shake loose your chains, Your ransom’s paid, the battle’s won

about

Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music - "Straightforward acoustic rock evocative of late 60's 'British Invasion' sound. The lyrics offer clear-but-calm Christian messages that don't overwhelm the listener with religious sentiment. Dave was a member of the Christian pop band ARK, one of the most overlooked Christian combos of the 70's. "

Voted One of CCM's 500 Best Albums of All Time
"Dave Kelly was an integral part of Ark and his songwriting prowess shows on this solo debut. Fans of British pop will love it immediately with a Beatlesque quality and an overall sound comparable to Alwyn Wall and Cliff Richard. Very catchy hooks and memorable melodies from start to finish and a message that was upfront but without a “preachy” quality to it.
Anyone even remotely interested in the early days of CCM in England and the influence of the birth of a more legitimate musical expression in the states should try and obtain a copy of this great album."
