about

This is a real rockin' song that used to be very popular during live concert performances. At one church in Phoenix, Arizona, Dave got in trouble with some of the more traditional elders, when the entire congregation jumped up on the pews and started rocking out. The female background singers from Bob Dylan's "Slow Train Coming" band, join in the fun, adding a really soulful touch to the whole affair.

lyrics

King of Love

Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo He’s a-comin’ x3

He’s the King of Love and he’s shining from above
And He can see you
He’s a God who cares, and His love is everywhere
He wants to free you

The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?
The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?

He’s the Prince of Peace
And the answer to your needs
And he can hear you
Knocking at your heart,
Don’t you stay apart
He’ll never leave you

The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?
The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?

Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo He’s a-comin’ x3

He’s the King of Love and he’s shining from above
And He can see you
He’s a God who cares, and His love is everywhere
He wants to free you

The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?
The King’s coming back again soon
Is He coming for you?

Ooo, coming for you?
He’s comin’ he’s comin’
Ooo, coming for you?
He’s comin’ he’s comin’ (repeat)
